Simple Ankle Socks

I finished "Emma's Mitten's". They were actually very easy to do! They tell you to do the cable pattern for a total of five times before doing the thumb. I did the cable pattern only four times, because I thought five times would've been too long for my liking. Then I did the rest of the pattern as normal. They turned out very well and I'm planning on making another pair. I also want to make the "Snapdragon Mittens" by Ysolda. I've been wanting to knit them for awhile now. So this past week, I decided that I wanted to make a pair of simple ankle socks. I've made them before. It only took me two days to knit them. I casted on 52 stitches but it was a little tight so if you have bigger ankles, I would recommend casting on more stitches. I did a 2X2 rib for 7 rows. I know that it's such a weird number of rounds, but it just seemed like the perfect amount for me. After I knitted the rib rounds, I knitted for three rounds and then went straight to the heel. I usually like to do the heel flap types of heel, because I don't like the wrap and turns, and I don't really remember how to do it anymore. I knitted the rest of the sock how a normal sock is knitted. It's very simple. I don't know what to knit next! My boyfriend asked me to make him a hat and pair of mittens, but I haven't been able to find a decent pattern for male mittens. I'll keep looking. I'll keep looking for patterns for myself too!

New Project!

Okay, so I made the sweet sixteen hat that my mom wanted. I sat at home searching all weekend, trying to find a project to work on. I've thought about making a shawl, hats, mittens, cowls, and pretty much anything else. I decided that I am going to make Emma's Mittens by Minh Hoang. I'm going to use some cascade superwash that I found in my stash of yarn. Too bad it's white... But it'll be okay. I kind of want to test the pattern out first before I actually try to make them with some yarn that I would really want to make them with. I know that I'll probably be done with these by the end of the week, since I sit in my dorm bored out of my mind 90% of the time. We'll just have to see. I really hope that these will turn out and look fantastic!

Hey Guys!

Here I am, three years later! I am so so so sorry that I haven't posted a single thing in so long! I am eighteen years old now and I am in college! But before anyone can ask me, I am actually dreading college very much. It didn't start off good, and it hasn't really gotten better. I am planning on transferring next semester. I go home every weekend, and I know I shouldn't, but I just can't stand being in a tiny dorm by myself. I did have a roommate for the first month, but then she decided that she wanted to move in with her friend RIGHT ACROSS THE HALL! It didn't bother me that she wanted to move out. We did actually get along and stuff, but it just bothered me that she couldn't live across the hall from her friend. It has been almost a month since she moved out. It is very nice to not have to worry about a roommate all the time, but it does get lonely sometimes. Anyways, I really want to start making crafts and knitting more. I just need to get myself to do something, instead of sitting here all the time watching Netflix. I just need a few ideas on what I could knit. I also need a few ideas for some crafts that I can make! Hopefully Pinterest can help me out with that one! I was also thinking about knit some things and maybe selling them, but I am not sure about that idea yet. I want to find ways to help me make a little bit of extra cash. When I transfer next semester, I will be living at home, so I will probably work A LOT! That'll be okay with me though. I would rather try to save up a little bit of money now, before I get my degree. Anyways, I will hopefully have some new projects up for you guys to look at very soon!

American Girl Dolls.

My mom has recently bought me another American Girl Doll. I got Kanani. I'm unsure how to say her name but I'll figure that out soon. I've been trying to look for patterns for my dolls, and there aren't very many out there. I decided that I'll figure out more patterns so more people can find more things. I've been looking for patterns on people's ravelry's, because some people don't post the pattern but find them on blogs so that can help you find some. I'll keep looking though!

Just Sayin'

I really don't know what I would like to knit next after my second owl sweater. I've been knitting a lot of mittens and hats. I might try to make the "Scroll lace Scarf" by Ysolda. I've been wanting to make that. That will take me about 5-7 days I'm guessing. Then after that I don't know what else to knit. Well my friend made bracelets and they were super cute! So I might make those, but that will take a total of one day to make about five. But I suppose I can start Christmas presents already. But then I hate have them sit around for a long time, and by the time Christmas comes everyone would have already seen what I made them. I guess I'll just have to think about different things to make. Maybe I can start writing down more patterns. Maybe that will be in my next post.

I'm back!

So I have been really busy lately...ok not really. But before I was having troubles trying to log into my blog! It wasn't the greatest thing because, I had to reset a new password 4 times! It was terrible! But, I should start talking about my knitting! So, I've been really wanting to make the "Snapdragon Tam" By Ysolda Teague. I was thinking about using my Spud and Chloe yarn, but I like it too much to use it for that hat. I was thinking I could get more and maybe make a sweater for myself. But who knows. I also really want to make the "Abalone" cardigan by Beata Jezek. I was thinking about buying some grey washable yarn for that. I would probably get grey because it would match for things instead of getting a colored yarn. I would love to make myself another sweater, but I don't know yet. But, I also have been having troubles looking for things to make since I already have made at least one thing from each categorie. But, I haven't made a shawl yet! Maybe that will be next! I'll just keep looking and update more often!

Christmas Spirit! And Knitting!

So Chritmas is coming up! So my mom bought me these adorable cupcake ornaments. They are so cute. My mom also bought me a little white tree to put in my room. So my Christmas tree is going to be cupcake themed! Now I have to think of what i'm going to knit my mom and sisters for christmas. Well, one of my sisters always likes to steal my bella mittens so I might make her those. One of my other sisters likes to steal my owl hat, so i think i'll knit her that. But for my mom and last sister? What should I knit them? They are also knitters so i have to find the perfect knitting thing for them, but what? I'll think about that later.
